Press Release

Washington, D.C. (December 2, 2021) Today, Rep. James E. Clyburn, Chairman of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, issued the following statement after the President Biden announced new actions to combat the Omicron and Delta variants and continue to protect Americans from the coronavirus this winter:

“I am encouraged by President Biden’s swift new actions to combat the Omicron and Delta variants and limit the spread of the coronavirus across our nation. By expanding free at-home testing in all communities, increasing access to boosters for all adults and vaccines for children aged 5 and older, implementing stronger public health protocols for international travel, and continuing to invest in scientifically proven treatments and global vaccination efforts, our nation continues to move in the right direction to end this pandemic. These steps will help save lives, keep kids in schools, and keep businesses open—helping to build on the tremendous progress the Biden Administration has made since taking office.”
